Does HPF in PEQ2 really cut to -infinity?

Have you ever feel that one instance of hi pass filter is not enough so you have to double them? In my case it happens when I'm using PEQ2. Sometimes I'm feeling like when I high-pass alot of instruments in the mixer channels, a tiny bit of the low-freq I'm trying to remove is still there, and when it happens on many channels, it adds up and ruin my kick drum.

Mind you I'm using the HPF with the highest slope (i.e. 8 pole). So theoretically, if I set the freq knob to say 240Hz, I should at least get a -inf cut at around 200Hz (due to the slope).

Discuss.
