BUILDING a Computer

so ive made my choice, im going to build a computer. im building it because 1. its cheaper than buying a pre-made computer over $1000, 2. i get exactly what i want, and 3. my dad doesn't really want me to get a new pc, but i said we could build it as a summer project and he agreed.

so my budget is $2000 maybe a little more, hopefully a little less. What id like to know for now is what hardware to use. heres what ive decided so far.

CASE- ATX-MID TOWER – not sure which model

CPU- Intel Core i7-2700K @ 3.50GHz
Or
Intel Core i7-3820 @ 3.60GHz

RAM- 16-24gb DDR3 CORSAIR VENGEANCE

SYSTEM- MS WINDOWS 7 PRO 64

PSU- ?

HARD DRIVES-
240gb SSD
4-6b HDD (1.5tb-2tb each)

OPTICAL DRIVE- ?

MOTHERBOARD- ?

DVD DRIVE- ?

GRAPHICS CARD - ?

ANYTHING ELSE???????????

so does this look good? what do you recommend to fill in the blanks and '?'s? what else do i need for a computer optimized for power, speed, and using Fl studio, and komplete 8 as well as many other samples and vsts (possibly 100+) without problems or going slow/crashing?

any info on building a pc would help, thanks.
