Korn/Fieldy Slap-Bass attempt (Sytrus/Patcher)

I've been revisiting my teenage years & am on a bit of a Korn kick at the moment. Being a bassist, that automatically made me want to find out how Fieldy gets that filthy clacky slap sound.

Since I can't afford a 5-string bass & all the gear I'd need to get the real thing, I thought I'd have a go at synthesizing it. Here's the result (first with some FPC drums, then bass on its own):

Original for reference (section at 0:20):

If you want to use this or better still, think you could make some improvements - do it!

I've uploaded the project file for the audio clip, the Sytrus preset, the Patcher preset (with all FX bundled in) and a zipped loop package, why not. I might be breaking some rules here, but I used a couple of 3rd party plugins & an impulse-response - sadly, Hardcore wasn't going to cut it :P. Everything is freeware though, so here's what you'll need:

Distortion:
TSE R47 v1.0 - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=365565

Bass Amp:
3rd Bass - http://rekkerd.org/fretted-synth/

The guitar cab Impulse-response was in the 'POD' pack downloadable here:
http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/f-o- ... mples.html

The drums are the 'Tymetal' FPC kit, which I believe came from either the IL downloader or the FPC sub-forum.

This was a pretty interesting exercise, as I built the FX chain pretty early & did the majority of the synthesis with the FX on. Listening to the naked Sytrus patch afterwards was weird, since (to me at least) it really doesn't sound much like a bass guitar.
