Sub Bass Buzz "Voice"
Hey all! So this is something that I thought would be very simple to figure out but its turned out to be pretty challenging. I want a sub bass with that "buzz" effect so that it doesn't sound like a pure sine wave, it has more of a voice that stands out when playing without a sub but its not so overwhelming that it clashes with the lead synth. For example the bass in Tyraz's remix of Riot by Snavs has a very noticeable buzz to it. How do I create this buzz? Is it part of the bass or is it an additional synth layered over? I've tried using detuned saw waves and saw waves with chorus/unison but they always come out too aggressive, don't mesh with the bass well, and clash with the lead. Probably very easy to do but I haven't been satisfied with my attempts so any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
