Hey guys! So I'm prototyping a concept I had for a plugin within Patcher. It's going okay but I basically have to split the frequency spectrum up into small segments and route each signal out - but with a low CPU load. So far I have 16 PEQ 2's set to a single bandpass with oversampling off, however since it's a minimum phase EQ it's kind of butchering the original signal when summed. I have an adjustable width knob set to each BP filter that can be tweaked to the best, least cancelled signal but it's still noticeable.. to me anyway. I wanted a high level of accuracy for each band but thinner q's add a resonance.
Is there a way I can accomplish this without using a ton of cpu (Linear phase EQ's) or do I just need to minimize the number of bands I'm using and have it be less accurate in terms of the frequency spectrum?
Maybe someone has an idea ;x
Im thinking LP is the only way at this point
