For instruments, I’ve tried using MiniSynth with pulse (12%, 25%, 33%, and 50% pulse widths) and saw (at 0%, of course) waves with the ADSR set to 0% and added a Limiter module to each channel, since saw waves were too quiet, even when all channels are set to the default level.
For drums, I just imported sounds from an 8-Bit drum kit in Figure (iOS-exclusive app) via AudioCopy, but the hats and a few others don’t really sound like they fit in.
It generally sounds 8-Bit, but I feel that something is missing. Unless it’s just that the bit rate (a parameter in the bitcrusher effect ranging from 2-16 bits) has been missing from the Distortion effect since v3. :x
How to make/get 8-Bit Instruments/Kits?
