OS X ALPHA MIDI & KEYS ISSUE

So everytime I try to play a key In the 64bit it only plays each instrument I have loaded. Not in the piano roll like it was in the 32bit 12.4. The green knob shows up w/ which key I would be playing but no sound, until I go down octaves then thats when it just play the instruments like a drumpad. :? :? :? I NEED HELP ASAP!!!!
