Impressed, but have flickering GUI

Hi: I'm brand new to FL. (Recovering Pro Tools user). I'm impressed with how efficient this DAW seems to be. Opened on the first go and played audio no problem (demo project)! FL seems SO efficient compared to Pro Tools. I'm on Mavericks and I don't really want to update, so I'll guess I'll have to be patient and wait for the proper release, no? Thanks.
