Having trouble downloading the Beta

Hey, how are you tonight?

I'm having issues opening the program directly after downloading it. I have the FL studio 64.pkg file and when I click to open it, a message appears and says "Verifying "FL Studio 64.pkg"..." and it will remain in that state indefinitely.

Should I have the demo version before downloading the Beta for Mac? I simply purchased the producer version and downloaded the file directly from there onto my computer which is an OS X El Capitan.
