Groove Machine won't map properly

I've been trying to map Groove Machine with my AKAI LPD8 controller but when I do this it tells me it's mapped yet jumps back to the setting it was mapped with before no matter how many times I do it. It's the same with my MPK49 keyboard, some of the keys,pads,dials etc won't let me change the mapping. What can I do to fix this please?
