Question about Harmors Chorus

Dear FL-studio users community,

I am trying to obtain in depth-knowledge of all basic effects. I ran across Harmors chorus section and I have difficulty figuring out what the 'cross'-slider does. I've looked up some explanations by, among others, the famous SeamlessR but he just mentions it and continues. The FL-studio help files are not very clear on the subject I'm afraid. All I got was:

''Cutoff frequency of the cross-over filter.''

This makes no sense to me.

Anybody out there that knows what the slider does ?
