Fidelity, PLEASE! This is a REALLY SERIOUS issue with FL Studio that's been going on for years now. Auto-PDC must be fixed. This includes compensation inter- and intra-track routings. The matter is only complicated by mixer routings that involves buses and sidechain signals. As a user who relies on a lot of third party plugins, the problem is even further exacerbated. A few of the many symptoms that arise include time-based plugins triggering incorrectly and out-of-sync automation clips. What does it all amount to? The rendered track not sounding the way it’s supposed to, which is probably why producers say FL sounds worse than other hosts… because it is, because it’s not even outputting the correct audio…
I’ve brought this up so many times in the past and every time I just get sidestepped. So either there’s a serious configuration issue on my end, or you guys are just unwilling to acknowledge the problem. I feel like many users who use FL take it for granted and just assumes it works correctly.
To avoid the full severity of the PDC problem I’ve resorted to only using zero latency or very low sample latency plugins (16 samples max, but even then it will inevitably affect transients). This puts a limit on the generator and mixer plugins I can use. But I’m tired of dodging the very issue. Despite taking all the necessary precautions, I still end up with tracks outputting incorrectly even under fully zero latency environments. A really wonky, highly CPU-intensive workaround I’ve seen some users try is to insert the same latency-inducing plugin(s) on every track within a group to “balance out”, but obviously this is not a practical solution.
Can you please, PLEASE do something about it? I just want to use a DAW that functions as intended. I can prepare test projects showing you examples if you really need me to…
(Side question: Is there any way to make automation clips respond faster? For example, if you automate a mixer track pan ring and in one part of the clip it does a straight jump from say 0% to 100%, it's not instantaneous but smooth and over time.)
Please Fix PDC!
