Weird Anomaly - MIDI Recording Endless Notes

I can't figure out what is happening. I have a piano instrument (Kontakt) which is using the sustain pedal. When I play a passage engaging the sustain pedal it seems to trigger the error. Instead of the controller info merely being recorded, the notes that are being recorded are infinitely sustained. This is not the intended behavior, and isn't even a reproduction of what I'm playing. Basically, it looks like every MIDI note has no NOTE OFF, but is only stopped by another NOTE ON on that same MIDI NOTE #.

I did find this:

"
Support hold and sostenuto - If selected, FL Studio will use foot-pedal messages to sustain notes held on a MIDI keyboard. NOTE: For some VST plugins you may need to turn this off for the pedal-sustain to work correctly, it depends on how the programmer has decided to handle foot-pedal MIDI messages. "

...but when I turn off the feature I don't even hear sustain when I depress the sustain pedal.
