Unknown Event - result of 3rd party VST automation

This only applies to my 3rd party VSTs (both generators and effects.)

FL will read knob tweaks, etc. as I am moving them with my mouse. However, when I go to last tweaked > create an automation clip, it gives the *VST name* Unknown Event #*8digit-hex-code*
Even as I edit the parameter within the VST, the display in the top left does not realize the change: For example, if I automate a parameter that is 0-100% it will not display 50% when it is halfway up, but I will hear the modulation.
