MIDI data (automation) not recording

Hi, I have just recently bought a Access Virus C and hooked it up to my computer to work with FL Studio. It is all set up and sound is working fine but when I try to record MIDI date i.e moving of knobs on the virus into FL it is not recording. All MIDI I/Os are connected, the MIDI input activity light is flashing when I move a parameter and you can here the parameter working on the sound signal and if recording audio it will record the change but will not record the event for editing purposes.
