Vocodex 64-bit VST issue

There is an issue when I use Vocodex 64-bit VST version 1.0.17 in Reaper 64-bit version 4.61. I press down a key (piano keyboard) on the plugin GUI to define the sounds tonal character, but the key releases when I press play in Reaper.

Now, random keys in the piano keyboard can be pressed down without me doing anything every time I press play or for every 1 beat in each bar when I play. This issue definately seems to be related to this Grossbeat issue I reported:
