I am returning to PCs after a few years (on the dark side) with Macs. I want to use an older eKeys MIDI keyboard with FL Studio. I first thought that maybe my midi keyboard was too old to use with Windows 8.1 but when I tried it on my wife's Win7 computer it worked fine, as well as my son's Win8.1 computer. So it must be something related my system configuration. When I check device manager the USB Device gives a Code 10, Device cannot start.
My system is a ASUS B85M-G motherboard with Intel Core i3-4130 cpu. I have a USB mouse, keyboard, and Rosewill USB wireless adapter.
I have tried a system restore and a system reset with no luck. Also tried removing all USB drivers and letting windows reinstall the drivers (a couple of times) with no luck. I would appreciate any suggestions......
