FL Studio Permormance question, how to optimize?

my pc setup is this:

Win7 Home Premium 64-bit
8 GB Ram 1600 MHz
i5 2320 3,0 Ghz
Radeon HD 6870
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface

and when i have some more complex project mostly with a lot of effects for mixing & mastering etc. i get this result and it stutters and stutters and stutters when i hit playback.
normally with my hardware i should have no probs should i? oh i only used in this project some percussion samples, 2 instances of nexus2 and 8 instances of gladiator2.
