Control surface: knob offset values

Hi!

I have a question about Control surface plugin, let me tell you what I'm trying to do:

I really love Ableton's sampler for it's ability to easily and dynamically move sample loop position via macro commands, and I thought Control surface could do that;

So I opened up an instance of DirectWave, and assigned a sample into it.

I inserted a Control surface plugin, then created 3 knobs:

- Loop start time
- Loop end time
- Loop position offset

then assigned CS's loop start and loop end to DirectWave's knobs,

Then I assigned the "loop position offset" to both CS loop start and Loop end knobs, thinking there would be a way to have the linking option to ADD up to the actual remote knob value,
right now it behaves rather strangely: whenever you twist a knob, it unlinks from it's controller link, relinking has to be done.

So my question is:

- is it possible to have a Control Surface knob to "read" a knob value, and offset it with it's remote controller value ?
- Is it intended that the link assignation goes off once a knob is touched?
