speech synthersizer does not work properly

I downloaded the newest version of fl studio 11.1 and when I came to use it I tried to make a few words with the semitones change with the ( ) cymbles. in the middle of the words I was doing and it says the words with minus 5 or minus 2 etc., in the middle of the words. it used to work on the older versions of fl studio
