Help! Odd Behavior During MIDI Playback!

Hi, I'm always having problems playing back my MIDI files in FL Studio. Commercial MIDI files play back fine, but whenever I use the MIDI OUT channels for my own creative purposes, I encounter odd and erratic behavior during playback of my work. Symptoms such as one of the MIDI OUT channels will stop playing unexpectedly or the pitch will suddenly change. Has anyone encountered such behavior and is there a reason and most importantly, is there a cure? It bugs the hell out of me!!! BTW, this happens when using Fruity LSD if that helps. Please please help!!
If I don't get this issue fixed, making my rough tracks in MIDI is absolutely out of the question to me.

EDIT: Think I might have fixed it. I unticked auto close device in audio settings and seems to playing normally. Why the hell it was causing those issues though I don't know! It's not like I had anything else running.
