Edison wont open in edit window

When I right click on any instrument and try to edit it, Edison will not open. I upgraded from fl studio 11 to flstudio_12.0.1 first. That's when I noticed that it wouldn't open in the edit window. Then I installed flstudio_12.0.2_RC1 over the previous fl 12. No dice. Everything seems to be installed in the right place. ( local Disk, Program Files (x86), Image-Line, FL Studio 12. My computer is a Creation Station 200. Windows 7 home prem. 64.
