If I want my snare to silence my kick sample I'd set my snare's "Cut" to say, 3, and my kick's "Cut by" to the same number. Normally that works, but if either of these channels are triggered by a layer channel, the cut groups do nothing. Not sure whether it's just a bug, or a feature that's been overlooked. Shouldn't the cut groups silence any activity on a channel, not just activity caused by that channel's own piano roll? If i take the layer's midi data to the underlying channel's piano roll the cut groups will work, but that defeats the purpose of using the whole layer thing in the first place.
So what's going on here?
