Is this a midi bug?

I was working on a guitar riff and sound on a project specifically for guitars. I liked my melody, so I exported the midi. My problem was that when I imported the midi to my real project, the midi notes were triggering midi channel 2, using the wrong sound.

By default instruments are in midi channel 1, so I tested this out. I deleted the first bar from the midi sequence, and put a single note. When played back the first bar triggered midi channel 1, but the remaining midi notes triggered channel 2. How is this possible? I've never found an option in FL studio which allows me to send a midi signal within piano roll to different midi channels simultaneously.

I was using kontakt and multiple instruments on different midi channels, so I had to link them with 'Midi outs' from Fl studio. Does the midi out selected channel save into the midi file? How can I revert it back to midi channel 1 if this is what was happening? I'm just making a wild guess as I really have no clue whats going on.
