FLP saves into a completely new one

Hey,

im having a problem where my files sometimes get saved into a new one when i use ctrl- s which i do quite often, lets say i save a file called: "Tropical House 40". It will make a new file called "Tropical House 40_2". In some cases i have the file 10 times because i safe so often, which is really annoying. If anyone has an idea what could be the reason for that to happen would be awesome. What i have tried so far was turning off the automatical safe function which didnt help so i decided to make this post.
