FL v12.4.2 (but I believe both these issues started happening around 12.4.0 or perhaps some change on my part caused them)
If I use the top left Add channel, right click insert or replace plugin to choose one it gets loaded into the mixer instead of channel.
This happens even though the plugin is listed as a synth in the plugin manager.
However if I use the "More plugins..." menu to find the plugin I want, it will load into the channel correctly.

File loading/saving issue.
When I go to load a file or save, my FL Studio defaults to the Desktop folder.
So every single time I load/save I have to navigate to my projects.
I thought this is perhaps a Windows issue but it's only happening with FL Studio.
