Slicex Not Producing Sound When Played on Keyboard

Hello!
So I loaded a sample into Slicex today and I was perplexed when I played the keys on my midi keyboard - no sound came out.
I googled it and most people seem to resolve the issue by toggling the kb input option, however, sadly, this did not work for me.
It has worked before and I didn't change any settings but for whatever reason it's stopped working. The sections even light up when I press the keyboard, but no sound comes out. Sound does come out when I click the little keys at the bottom of the plugin, though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
