Audio turns mono without frequencies above 6k hz

I've been having a strange issue with FL Studio on my laptop. If I play any audio, and there's nothing on the high frequencies above about 6,000 hz, my audio output becomes mono and significantly lowers in quality. And even when audio is present on the high frequencies, it takes a split second to return to high quality, therefore removing transients from drums unless something is constantly playing behind it. I have a vectorscope on the master that still shows the audio as being stereo, even though my final output is mono. This only happens on my laptop, not my desktop PC, and it only happens with FL Studio. Is there a way to fix this? Is it a problem with FL Studio, or with my laptop?
