scanning vst slow

Hi it seems that my scanning for new vsts in the folders is going slower all the sudden. It is rescanning everything even though its already added. I have included a screenshot of the setting used on the last scan.

UPDATE.. I just checked rescan verified plugins and it went way faster. Does rescan mean it ignores the installed plugins? I thought unchecking it would be faster but it isnt.
