IL Remote and FL 12.4.2 issue - constant resets after 3/4 of first beat

*UPDATE* 7/19/17 I found and opened the debugging log, and I found a long growing list that says "Opening MIDI input devices" and "Opening MIDI output devices." This is definitely the culprit, because the list keeps getting bigger, and every time my playlist resets all the lights on my midi devices go out for a split second. And at that very same moment, those two messages appear again in the debugging log. To reiterate, After I connect IL Remote to FL Studio there is an event which occurs about every 1 or 2 seconds. The lights on my midi devices flash, my playlist resets, and the debugging log spits out some lines of text which reads:
Opening MIDI input devices
Opening MIDI output devices
Opening MIDI input devices
Opening MIDI output devices
This behavior continues as long as I have the ipad with IL Remote connected to my DAW, and after I disconnect my ipad, the behavior continues for some time, like a minute or two, and then levels out. Basically, as soon as I connect the app to FL Studio, the project resets after the first 3/4 of the first beat... continuously. This is making FL Studio unusable. I have a PC with a wired network connection. I have an ipad 4. 4th gen, whatever. I tried this on my surface pro 4, and it happened again. I tried it on my SP4 again, but connected to a different network and it happened again. I guess the ipad is causing the issue? Is there something wrong with this ipad? The ipad seems fine in every other way.

Please, any help. I really want to get this to work.
