Amplitube 4 behaving badly

Hello. Just downloaded Amplitube 4 recently and recorded some guitar parts to go with a midi drum pattern. My CPU Load in FLS12 spikes whenever I play/work with the song to the point that it's unusable. Running two separate instances of Amplitube 4 on two mixer channels. I've tried everything in Plug-ins Behaving Badly, everything in forums, blogs, etc. Running on a Surface Pro 3, quad core i7. Only run the two audio programs on the machine. Should be more than enough horsepower for two tracks and what will need to be many more tracks eventually. Running out of options and patience. May need to go with another DAW if I can't get it solved soon. Thanks.
