FL Studio 12 running as background process

I am on Windows 7 and I am trying to run FL Studio 12 (12.4). Whenever I try to run it, it doesn't show up. It also doesn't show up in the Task Manager "applications" tab, but for some reason it shows up in the "processes" tab. I can't ALT+TAB to it either. I've tried restarting my PC, I've tried to reinstall FL (multiple versions). I've ran it as administrator, tried both x32 and x64 versions, tried installing different versions including 12.5.
Also, if I try to re-install FL, it gets stuck at the end. But I really need to know how to stop FL from running as a background process. BTW it's just the demo version, not full.
