Changing Data Directory

I have 2 hard drives on my computer

250 GB SSD

1TB Magnetic

Everything is on the SSD right now and that is what I boot from

I have recently aquired a large amount of .wav files and need to move them onto the magnetic drive

Can I leave FL Studio on the SSD, while using the magnetic drive to store and use all the data?

Do i need to install FL on the magnetic and run it from that drive?

I already went to general settings and changed the folder locations to point to the magnetic drive but it's not working

thank you!
