Trouble updating FL

Hey guys, so I'm trying to update my FL today from 12.4.1 to the latest (I believe 12.5.1.5) and am running into some issues. First, I downloaded the new version and starting to run the install, but after I reached the last step and hit continue to start the installation (after picking all my options), a window pops up saying that fl studio crashed. I googled this and seems like this guy was having the same issue (http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.php?t=175092). Someone recommended installing the latest shared program files for my version, so I went over and tried downloading the 12.4.1 file from here (http://forum.image-line.com/viewtopic.p ... 19&t=97267). After extracting the file and then going to run it from the file directory, I keep getting an error message saying nsis error: error writing to temp file make sure your temp file is valid. Not sure what's going on here, can anyone help me?
