Transferring FL studio from one computer to another

Just bought a new computer, I am trying to move ,copy whatever FL8 or FL7 for that matter because I want my songs to play without all the clipping which have made it impossible to get a proper finished product before I render them. You can tell I'm not good at the transferring thing because I have not been able to move a song completely from FL7 to FL8 (on the same computer). Now I am trying to transfer to the new computer before downloading a new copy of FL Studio. I just wish to move the work that has already been done to the new computer to hear how it sounds. I'm trying to put it on a travel drive but its not working.
