So my problem with FL Studio 9.5 is the occasional audio crackles. I recorded a short video showing the problem (using the NewStuff.flp). Watch around 00:17. There's a CPU spike and crackle:
I wouldn't mind if it was only one time, but I get these crackles quite often while producing and playing in FL. I get these while doing everyday tasks: loading a new VST and playing with it, loading a sample, moving around between playlist, browser and other different windowses, creating automation clips, etc. All the usual stuff.
It's not the latency settings because I get these crackles even with buffer length as high as 2048smp.
Here's my detailed computer specs:
Intel Core i7 950
Asus P6T Deluxe V2
nVidia Geforce 9800GT 1GB
12GB DDR3
1x1TB Seagate HD
1x640GB Western Digital HD
1x1TB Buffalo External HD
M-Audio Audiophile Delta 2496 audiocard with latest Windows 7 drivers
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
And in FL I have these settings:
I have tried pretty much all different kind combination of settings in FL's Audio Settings, including Triple Buffer. I also did a clean install of Windows 7 without anything other than just my audiocard drivers and FL studio, did the test and still the crackles occur. I have also tried disabling all the windows services, but doesnt help.
Even though the crackles are occasional, they're annoying and sort of kills the smooth workflow.
Anyone have any ideas where I should start to solve this problem?
It can't be my computer, plenty of power there...
I was thinking maybe it's the Delta 2496 audiocard.. cant really tell. What kind of audiocards/interfaces are you guys using?
Or maybe it's some BIOS settings I need to tweak of. What kind of BIOS settings affects audio?
Any tips?
