Recording with an M-audio fast track box?

I got my microphone all set up and recording into FL Studio is no problem but I want to record while im listening to my project play at the same time. Every time i turn the mic on the audio is muted even though the levels are still registering. I have headphones plugged in to the mbox and for some odd reason it is only getting sound in the right side. For now ive been listening to it on windows media player and recording in fl studio but i want to do it all in FL Studio because its kind of annoying switching back and forth and it doesnt look very professional. I thank you ahead of time for your help with this.

Sincerely,
Me.
