Hercules MKII Jog wheel Jumping

I have an issue using my Hercules MKII controller, periodically (between 10mins & 30mins) one of the tracks will jump forward like you span one of the jogwheels. It will do this regardless of whether the track is playing or stopped. It will happen on either track. Initially, I thought it was a power issue with the MKII, but I now have a power supply for it (9V and the polarity is correct). I've also tried working the buffer size and sample rates in the MKII setup.
I'm now assuming it is associated with the pc I'm using. Unfortunately I don't have any other systems worth a small hill of beans to compare results with at this time (come on tax return).
Has anyone else seen a similar issue with this or other controller?

p.s. torx xponent controller (is it stable on DD?)
