Cannot Load any VSTi - V1.93

Hi - I have DD v1.93 and FL Studio 10 but am unable to load an VSTi (FX or generators) into the slots in DD. The program just crashes. I have tried with the native IL plug-ins from FL10 and third party plug-ins but all have the same result - the application crashes. (I run Win7 Home Premium).

I cannot find anyone else that has this magnitude of problem but I have seen some issues where third-party plug-ins may not be compatible and crash the app.

So, does any one know why this may be or can offer advice, please?

I am a relatively new DD user. I downloaded the trial then bought the "home" version and just entered my reg-key through the normal Registry update. I don't think there is anything unusual there either. I am at a bit of a loss as to why this should happen for *any* plug-in.

All thoughts/help appreciated.
