fl (vst version) in deckadance problem

im thinking of using it to add extra riffs over mixes etc, but i will need to be able to use the midi controller im using for deckadance to also control aome filters etc in fl. thr problem i get is that fl wont let me 'enable' the midi controller because its already in use, selecting the midi thru option for the fl vst does seem to let fl receive a midi signal, but when i right-click a filter or something in fl and try to link to controller, fl ignores my pot twisting...

is there a work around for this or can i simply not use the same midi controller for deckadance AND the fl vsti within it?
