Frequency splitting in mixer tracks

make it so that any insert in a mixer track, can be can be applied to certain frequencies

example: I want add an effect (say distortion) to an instrument but only the highs, rather than the whole spectrum,

have 2 sliders per insert fx (one on each end of the frequency spectrum) that you can "pinch" and the effect will only go to selected range of frequency

****Theres no easy way to do this in any DAW i know of*****

Each insert fx should be able to do it
