Add control point without changing vertical position

I'd love to be able to add a control point to an automation curve without changing the vertical position, sicne it's always a bit of a pain to have to zoom out and out go back to the start of the song just to copy/paste the value of the initial point.

Would it be possible to make Shift + Right-click do this? (Since holding Shift is already the way to move an existing point without changing vertical position).


EDIT: As always, a workaround occurred to me just after submitting this. I guess I could copy the value of the knob I'm automating just before/after creating the clip, and then paste it in the curve. Still not as smooth as a "Hotkey+Click" option, but better than grabbing the value from the start or end of the new clip.
