Sometimes i still have difficulties to know where am I in a zoomed piano roll or playlist because grid lines are all the same. A slight colour could help to distinguish them.
Something like a colour for steps, one for beats and one for bars.
Other daws have grid fractions written in the upper bar but FL doesn't. So maybe a bit of colour could be an easier way.
If then those colours could be customisable (as the background is) that would be perfect.
