The current method of routing MIDI from track to track is extremely confusing. I think a large part of it has to do with how hidden it is.
Using plugins like Cthulhu in FL is possible but not a very pleasant or easy workflow. Ableton's execution of this is very simple. Logic made it fool proof and I think it's worth the dev taking inspiration from. In the attached photo you can see that there's a MIDI FX slot in the mixer track that allows you to add MIDI information to the "signal flow." Conceptually that is very easy to grasp. I think a combination of Abletons flexibility and Logics simplicity could offer a better workflow than the mystery that currently exist. I know setting the same numbers works but I have no idea how, why should something like routing be so confusing? I would def appreciate a cleaner version of it.
