Ability copy and paste multiple automation points in a clip ?

I like to work with one long automation clip through a track, I want to be able to use the select tool to highlight many automation points and then have a copy option, where i can paste them further into in the automation clip (similar to how copy and paste works with audio or in the piano roll). Is this possible to include?

I make a lot of drum and bass with some quite complex sound design where there's lots of automation. I need regions need to be similar but to differ in slight ways. I understand you can make unique automation clips but this then makes it more difficult for me to order a large project.

This would be a huge workflow help for many people! thank you for consideration
