another patcher update request with duplicate midi out numbers??

HI for some reason patcher does not allow duplicate midi out port channels into the final mixer out. But the channel rack does. Here is the issue Im having.

I can set up a patcher program with 8 volume control buttons ON/OFF on midi channels 9-16. I use the midi out plugin set to channel 9 and set 8 knobs to volume control (Im using it as mute)
I then send this out to port 0. THis works fine.

However in my channel rack I set up a midi channel mapper plugin which forces channels 10-16 to receive input from channel 9. This means everything I play on channel 9 (another midi out plugin in the channel rack) will also trigger on these other channels. I set the midi out here to port out 1 and the channel mapper to input 1 and out 0.

Heres the problem. I tried to duplicate this channels mapper in patcher and it wont work. Because my current setup has the patcher already going out to 0.

GOAL- I would like to set this all up in patcher and just load it when I need it. Any ideas?
