Crashed in piano roll

I've just bought a new Behringer Pro 1 hardware synth. Whenever I attempt to play it using the piano roll in the midi out plugin, fl studio freezes then ultimately crashes. I haven't had this issue with my other hardware synth which is a Novation Mininova. Any ideas would be very welcome
