Best workflow for slicex and launchpad?

If I want to take a sampled break and slice it with slicex, then assign arbitrary slices to pads on a launchpad. what is the best way to do that? e.g. kick on first slice to bottom left pad, snare on 5th slice to next pad, high hat on 3rd slice to the next pad, etc.
