Mastering with Maximus

I have this trouble that i run into all the time, and i'm really tired of it now, so i wanted to ask about it.
I mostly get cracking noise or distortion kinda noise on my vocal tracks after mastering with Maximus (No, they are not distorting when they are going into my fl)
Is this a problem duo to much big/bigger peaks in the vocal tracks? Should i cut up the track in pieces and lower the biggest peaks manually maybe!?. Would that help? Cause it seems like i don't get these cracking/distortion kind of noises when i work with pretty even vocal tracks, for example my unofficial Lady gaga remake, i never noticed those kinds of cracking/noises when "mastering" that mix, also i find it rather strange (that's why i'm asking this too) That a guy on this forum, can't remember his name did a master of my track "Jennifer" and it was really loud in volume, sorta like i want my latest song to be, but i can't even get near too it in volume. Because of the vocals "cracking/distorting".
This is really depressing shit, so help out a fellow mate! How do i avoid this f-ing unwanted distortions on my final mixes!!!!!!
