We changed the name from FL Studio to FL Studio after Kellogg decided people were confusing our product with their breakfast cereal. Eating CD's can be dangerous apparently
In late 2004 we re-branded FL Studio to FL Studio as you can see from the following Google Trends graph. From the data here it looks like the old name is finally starting to fade. On the other hand it's also clear these things take some time.
So what do you call FL Studio?
BTW: You can learn a lot from Google Trends, like Lady GaGa became more popular than a Stick some time in 2009. Let's see if she has the stick's enduring popularity...
There seems to be an interesting seasonal trend of increased interest in sticks at the end of the year. Perhaps they make good presents?
PS: Don't even think of comparing FL Studio to a stick, the stick kicks our backside
